It has touches from the Holiday Inn that occupied the property decades ago. Nice vibe in this hotel, and excellent, friendly customer service at all areas. The restaurant is still under construction, and there are not yet bellmen or valet parking available, although it is on the way. Turn into the parking garage to check into the hotel: do not stop on the main street. The garage parking was excellent, and is an easy, direct walk from your car directly into the hotel, without going outside the garage. The parking garage can be a little steep, so park in the designated spaces near the front doors and entrance to check in, and to unload your bags from your car, prior to parking. 24-hour front desk. Pool is on the 7th floor, enclosed by rooms, with an open roof. It is a 3 minute walk to The Rendezvous for the best ribs in Memphis, a 4-minute walk to the Peabody, and another block or two to Beale Street. Great location! Be alert at night, but we walked on the lighted sidewalks, and felt fine. There is a security guard who pays attention, as well. Rooms were crisp with white linens and a great selection of Aveda products. Nice quirky touches on the rooms. Still working on a few rooms on the top (10th) floor, but that is where we stayed. Two elevators, each with a display that tells the floor where it is located as you wait. Professional staff, friendly, nice pricing, cool touches, and brand new. Great stay
